Group A–derived, turbocharged, all-wheel drive — number 110.

This is a track-prepared Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI — the CP9A generation — finished in silver with blue competition livery and campaigned under number 110. The Evo VI arrived in 1999 as the most focused of the early Lancer Evolutions, developed expressly to keep Mitsubishi at the front of the World Rally Championship: redesigned cooling, a larger intercooler and oil cooler, a repositioned front number plate for airflow, and revised aerodynamics all came in service of the works rally programme. At its heart is the legendary 4G63 — a 2.0-litre turbocharged DOHC inline-four producing around 276 horsepower in standard form — driving all four wheels through Mitsubishi's clever all-wheel-drive system with Active Yaw Control.

It is the generation that carried Tommi Mäkinen to his fourth straight WRC drivers' title in 1999, capping four consecutive championships (1996–1999) that made the Lancer Evolution a giant-killer and a rally icon. Where rivals built bespoke World Rally Cars, Mitsubishi famously kept evolving its Group A–rooted homologation special — a humble four-door sedan turned four-wheel-drift weapon, turbocharged, all-wheel drive and endlessly adjustable. This particular car has been built for the circuit rather than the stage: a privateer time-attack and track machine fitted with a Garrett turbo, Öhlins suspension, a full aero package and roll cage, and run by Alexander and Laura. Here it stands shoulder to shoulder with cars worth many times its weight in gold — and routinely embarrasses a few of them.
