The HSR Classic Daytona 24 Hour, presented by IMSA and run by Historic Sportscar Racing, recreates a full day and night of endurance racing on the Daytona road course. Rather than one continuous race, seven period run-groups take to the track in succession around the clock, their combined times deciding the winners — a format that fills the Daytona banking with everything from 1960s prototypes to modern GTs.

Alexander campaigned the Porsche 997 GT3 R (No. 01) with Flying Lizard Motorsports over the 2022 weekend, taking two podiums — 3rd in the GTM class of the BRM Endurance Challenge and a class podium in the GT3A sprints — and classifying 13th overall, 9th in GTM, across the combined Classic 24 results.
