Carbon-tubbed LMP3 prototype with a Nissan V8.

This is a Ligier JS P320 LMP3 prototype race car — chassis JSP320-235 — a purpose-built, ACO-homologated Le Mans prototype delivered new in the technical configuration corresponding to its ACO certification. Like every JS P320, it is constructed around a carbon-fibre monocoque survival cell engineered to current FIA/ACO crash and safety standards, the same closed-cockpit architecture that underpins the category feeding the European Le Mans Series, the Asian Le Mans Series and IMSA’s prototype ranks.

It was delivered new as a complete, turn-key competition package: the carbon monocoque chassis, the engine and its peripheral systems, the gearbox, the wiring harness, the ECU/electronic control box, the exhausts and the steering wheel — with the powertrain and related components supplied by ORECA, Ligier’s long-time technical partner for the JS P320 programme. At its heart sits a 5.6-litre Nissan V8 producing roughly 455 horsepower, driving a car that weighs under 950 kg for a genuine power-to-weight prototype punch. It is the most overtly race-bred shape in the collection.
