The Sports Car Club of America is the largest amateur road-racing body in the United States, running regional and national race weekends at circuits coast to coast. Laguna Seca — with its blind crest and the famous downhill Corkscrew — is among the most revered tracks on the calendar.

Alexander raced the Porsche 997 GT3 R (No. 12) at the July 2017 SCCA weekend, finishing 5th in the GT1 class on both days, and 17th overall.
